Southwater resident Thomas Bowling ran 100 miles in January to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support. Despite having no experience in daily running, Thomas was determined to raise funds for the cancer charity that had supported his Grandad, Auntie, and continue to support his Nan.

At time of publishing (10th January), Thomas had run over 23 miles around the village, raising £190 in the process. In an interview with the County Times, Thomas said “I want to make a difference and try and raise money for a charity that has been there for all of my family”.

If you would like to support Thomas for his magnificent efforts, you can donate to his fundraiser at gofund.me/b118ef2a

From all of us here at Southwater News, well done Thomas!
