Southwater News

Southwater News is part of the outreach programme organised by Southwater Parish Church and is run entirely by volunteers. The intention is to bring the village together through regular updates, business support and community events.

The Southwater News magazine features articles on various topics relating to village life and carries advertisements for local community groups and businesses. The magazine is delivered to over 4400 homes in Southwater. Southwater News Online is a digital version of the magazine. It can respond more quickly to day to day events and endeavours to reach a wider audience.

Southwater News runs as a not-for-profit organisation. Any proceeds go towards the upkeep of the church and its beautiful Victorian building. We are indebted to our advertisers who support us financially, our contributors who regularly supply us with topical articles and our team of distributors who deliver the magazine to your doorstep each month.

The current team includes;

Editor and Finance: Julie Fowler

Julie has lived in Southwater on or off since 1961. She started a career in business librarianship at Crawley library and has ended up as a volunteer in Southwater . As well as looking after the church room and editing and administrating Southwater News she helps run the Terracycle hub in Southwater church car park.
