What’s on in Southwater?
It goes without saying that there aren’t many events on in Southwater at the moment…
We have left two ‘sample’ events to show you what this section will look like once life returns to normal - whenever that maybe!

Horsham Amphibians Triathlon
Horsham Amphibians Triathlon 2022 Sprint Relay
The 33rd running of the Southwater Triathlon Sprint Relays will start at 8am on Sunday 4th September 2022 in and around Southwater County Park.
This is a team event with 100-130 teams of three members taking part.
Each team member participating in the event will complete a 400m swim in Southwater Lake, an 11.5 miles cycle around Barns Green, Coolham, along the A272 and back to Southwater via the A24, finishing with a 2.4 mile run around the lake before handing on to the next person. The race is based around the café in the Country Park and uses the car park off Cripplegate Lane as the transition area for competitors.
The event is estimated to finish with prize giving at around midday at the lakeside by the café. There will be race commentary running during the event from its start at 8 am.
The event raises money for the Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance Trust. The organisers will try to minimise any inconvenience to local residents and road users, especially those in Cripplegate Lane and the Country Park and Downs Link users between 8am and midday on race day. They understand that disruption can be frustrating and are extremely grateful for their forbearance in previous years and would very much appreciate it if the patience, understanding and support could be afforded again this year.
Whilst friendly and informal, the race is well organised & licensed under the exacting terms of the British Triathlon rules. In 2016 the event was awarded the title of ‘Best Commercial Event’ in the South-East region. There are many competitive teams but the race also provides an ideal opportunity for those wishing to have a go at triathlon for the first time and take part for fun. The race organisers would welcome enquiries from anyone wishing to participate, or from those who may wish to help out with race day support. Entry details can be found on the Results Base website, https://www.resultsbase.net/events, or further enquires to info@rawenergypursuits.co.uk
