We begin May with the King’s Coronation celebrations. As you will know Buckingham Palace has announced that His Majesty the King will be crowned at Westminster Abbey on Saturday 6th May 2023. The Queen Consort will be crowned alongside him. The ceremony will be conducted by the Archbishop of Canterbury, the Most Reverend Justin Welby. We join with all who offer their prayers to God for the King and for this historical occasion.

Locally in Southwater, there are plans to mark this event with bonfire and fireworks. Local community organisations have been working together on this. . All are welcome.
