Library Summer Reading Challenge

Wild World Heroes image.jpg

This year’s Summer Reading Challenge is called ‘Wild World Heroes’ and will take place across all libraries in West Sussex from Saturday 10th July. Children will join the heroes of Wilderville and their trusted animal companions, who are ready to take action to save the natural world! It’s free for families to take part, and it is especially important to encourage children to read for enjoyment at present.

Children taking part in the Summer Reading Challenge will need to sign up online at www.westsussex.gov.uk/src , collect a Wild World Heroes map and sticker pack from their local library, and borrow some books to read at home; they may also download eBooks and eAudiobooks from our eLibrary. Once they have completed the challenge and reached their personal reading goal, they can collect their medal and certificate from any library.

All primary-aged children will receive a bookmark invitation to join the Summer Reading Challenge via their school. Children will need a West Sussex library card to take part – it’s free to join online or by visiting your local library.
